Dr. Elly's Story

The women in my family have a tradition of taking good care of their skin. My grandmother brewed skin toner with black tea and herbs. As a young girl during the 1930's and 1940's, I watched my mother practicing yoga postures with egg yolk and honey on her face. When she wanted to tighten her skin she used egg white and lemon. Sliced cucumbers were her cure for puffy eyes.

Many years later, I came to the USA and started using commercial products on my face. Not until I was suffering from allergies, arthritis, depression, high blood pressure and kidney problems did I realize how damaging to my health these skin care products had been. My husband and I had eliminated the high blood pressure and kidney problems with natural and alternative healing methods, but the arthritis and depression lingered on.

Finally, I looked at the ingredients in my expensive, natural skin care products: the cleanser, the toner, the day cream, the night cream. I realized they were full of synthetic ingredients. These toxins had been accumulating in my body for years and worst of all, I kept putting them on my skin very day, overloading my liver.

I resolved to create my own lotions and creams using pure oils, not oil alcohols, pure vegetable glycerin, not dimethicone its synthetic replacement, natural preservatives like vitamin C and E, grapefruit seed extract and organic essential oils.

Most of all I decided to produce my creams in glass containers and bottle them in dark glass.
